What is really worth visiting:

  • the Wallachian Open Air Museum in Rožnov with its three complexes: the Wooden Townlet, Water Mill Valley and the Wallachian Village.

    visit the Rožnov brewery and savour beer in its cosy environment and watch a film about its history that dates back to 1712.
  • Unipar
    manufacture of decorative candles in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. A tour may be organized upon request.

  • Velký Javorník
    is the highest peak of the Veřovické vrchy situated in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids in the western part of the Carpathian arc. It is 918 m a.s.l. high: at the top, at 905 m a.s.l. there is a tourist chalet built in 1935, which is one of the most frequently visited places in the Beskids.
  • Pustevny
    (1018 m) meaning Hermitages got its name after hermits who lived there: the last one of them died 1874. It is an significant tourist attraction. From Pustevny it is a couple of minutes walk to the Radhošť range where there is a statue of the pagan god Radegast and St. Cyril and Methodius Chapel. 
  • Radhošť
    you can see there the famous statue of god Radegast, St. Cyril and Methodius Chapel and historic buildings built by the architect Dušan Jurkovič in Art Nouveau style. There is a path that leads to Prostřední Bečva.
  • Lysá hora
    with 1323 m it is the highest mountain of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. When on the top, you can get the best and unforgettable view of the ridges and valleys of the Beskids, Jeseníky Mountains and you can see as far as the West and High Tatras. There is a regular bus call Beskids cyclo-bus that goes to the Lysá Hora.
  • Štramberk
    A very nice town that is worth a visit is Štramberk with its ruins of a medieval castle, stone tower Trúba and prehistoric cave Šipka where remains of the neanderthal man were found.
  • Hukvaldy Castle
    a very famous castle that is a tourist attraction and the village of Hukvaldy where the Czech composer Leoš Janáček was born
